Malik Sparkman wanted one last moment with his teammates. The 18-year-old linebacker from County Creek, Ga. recently lost his yearlong battle against kidney cancer. His teammates honored Malik’s wishes by carrying his coffin through their stadium tunnel and across their field before his memorial service. This gesture has touched millions of people via social media and is a small reminder of the impact sports can have on a community.
