With Leather’s Watch This: Cheer Up, John Stockton

This has already been one hell of a strange NCAA Tournament, with my bracket’s Elite 8 missing just one team, and yet I have no chance of winning my pool. Oh, and I suppose it’s also strange because you have Florida Gulf Coast University as the first 15-seed to ever make the Sweet 16 after humiliating No. 2 Georgetown on Friday night. But obviously we all care about my bracket more.

Soon we’ll watch a “One Shining Moment” video montage that will feature the stars of FGCU’s Dunk City and La Salle’s whatever it is they do, as well as poor Gonzaga alum John Stockton up there, as he pouted to Gonzaga’s 76-70 loss to Wichita State on Saturday night. Poor, John. Nothing good ever happens to him.

The Crossover with Beadle and Briggs – 6:30 PM ET on NBC Sports

I saw a report the other day that this show only has about 18,000 viewers. That depresses me, because Michelle Beadle is pretty awesome and her team is smart enough to bring on entertaining guests like our friend and forefather Matt Ufford, unlike other sports talk shows that consistently bring on mouth breathers with the personalities of doorstops. Now, I suppose part of Beadle’s ratings problem may be that I can’t even tell you what channel NBC Sports is on AT&T U-Verse. Maybe the network could promote then between Peter King and Mike Florio televised farts.

NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament – 7 PM ET on ESPN 2

My women’s bracket is still perfect because I did not fill one out.

NHL: Kings at Blackhawks – 8 PM ET on NBC Sports

You know, for a lockout-shortened season, this NHL season seems to be taking forever to end.

WWE Monday Night Raw – 8 PM ET on USA

Here’s my plot idea for tonight’s Raw: Sheamus comes out and he’s all, “Someone just gave me this House of Pain CD and I think it’s awesome, so I’m going to become an Irish rapper now” and he’ll spend the next year performing a new finishing move called the BOOM SHALOCK LOCK BOOM. Frankly, I’m disappointed this hasn’t already happened.

NBA: Heat at Magic – 7 PM ET on ESPN

The Heat’s winning streak ends tonight! Hey, stop laughing.
