WWE Smackdown Live Results:

— The show opened with AJ Styles coming to the ring in street clothes, with a walking boot on his left foot. He said he’s not going to waste fans’ time, and will address the elephant in the room: his butt getting exposed at TLC. He says he did everything he said he was going to do on Sunday, with the only negative being that he isn’t cleared to face James Ellsworth tonight for the WWE championship. James Ellsworth came to the ring to object and said Styles is making excuses just to duck him. Styles called Ellsworth delusional, and said Dean Ambrose is responsible for everything good that has happened to Ellsworth, but now he’s made an enemy. Ambrose came to the ring, hit Ellsworth with Dirty Deeds, then left.

1. WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship: The Wyatt Family (c) defeated Heath Slater and Rhyno. The Wyatt Family retained with a Sister Abigail into an RKO on Slater, with Orton getting the pinfall.

— Carmella came to the ring and once again blamed Natalya for jumping Nikki Bella, and accused Natalya of being jealous of Nikki and being a loser. Natalya came to the ring and chased Carmella to the back. The two were scheduled to have a singles match, but it never happened. Backstage, Natalya ran into Nikki and tried to say Carmella was lying. Nikki left without saying a word.

3. The Hype Bros defeated The Ascension. The Hype Bros won via pinfall after the Hype Ryder.

— The Miz and Maryse came out to welcome their MizTV guest, Dean Ambrose. Miz gave Dean backhanded compliments and Ambrose told Miz he’s never seen him angry before. Miz tried to present Ambrose with the first Miz Participation Trophy, and Ambrose threatened to shove it down his throat. Daniel Bryan then came out and made tonight’s main event an Intercontinental Championship Match between Ambrose and Miz.

4. Baron Corbin defeated Kalisto. In this rematch from TLC, Corbin reversed a DDT attempt into the End of Days for the pin.

5. Chad Gable defeated Tyler Breeze. Gable won with a modified Chaos Theory German suplex.

— Alexa Bliss came to the ring for her official championship celebration. She didn’t get very far into her celebration when Becky Lynch interrupted her. Becky said she wanted her rematch right now. Alexa teased fighting her, but instead left with her title.

6. WWE Intercontinental Championship Match: The Miz (c) defeated Dean Ambrose. Maryse interfered, but the referee did not see it, so James Ellsworth came to ringside to complain, inadvertently causing the referee to miss Ambrose pinning the Miz. Ambrose was livid at seeing Ellsworth on the ring apron, allowing The Miz to hit the Skull Crushig Finale for the pin.
