The Yeezy Season 6 photo campaign has been getting a lot of attention lately, and not just because of its upcoming introduction at New York Fashion Week. Kim Kardashian West slowly and quietly introduced the public to the line throughout the year, donning pieces from the collection out in public while running seemingly mundane tasks.
In true Kardashian/West style, it was all a setup for the famous couple to introduce the campaign for the sixth season of the Yeezy line, featuring some of the couple’s famous friends as well as some popular Instagram models dressed as Kim K. clones. Well, it looks like multitalented DJ Diplo, who makes up a third of electronic music trio Major Lazer, wanted a piece of the action, and he tweeted out a spoof of campaign, featuring several photos of himself doing mundane tasks that the models were doing while wearing the same straight, blonde wig with a middle part that the rest of the models wore in the shoot. Diplo even managed to channel the nudity theme in many of the campaign’s original photos, shedding his shirt and freeing the nip. Kim K. took the joke in stride, quote-tweeting Diplo’s spoof with a couple crying laughing emojis.
Apparently, in the remixing mood, Diplo also released a remix of “Get It Right” featuring Mø and Goldlink. This one is much clothed and much more what we’re used to from the DJ, even though we quite enjoyed the model shots.
