Megaupload founder Kim Dotcom has been a subject of fascination of mine, and many others, for some time now. I mean, dude’s name is “Kim Dotcom,” after all, and he just exudes Bond villain in just about every way an actual person can. All he’s missing is a hairless cat, really.
But Dotcom’s apparently launching a 2014 PR offensive in an attempt to combat his international outlaw image, what with a recent Vice video profile and last night’s 60 Minutes piece, embedded below, on him. For what it’s worth, Kim likes the Vice piece better, which is not surprising considering that the Vice piece is a Kim Dotcom blowjob while the 60 Minutes piece is objective. It is also embedded below, beneath the 60 Minutes embed.
60 Minutes has taken a lot of heat lately, for good reason, but the contrast between the two pieces makes me appreciate the show more. I’m just not down with Vice’s brand of “journalism,” I guess.
