You have to feel bad for the Guinness Book of World Records. Somebody has to compile the thing, yet most of these records don’t change because, let’s face it, holding a World Record is not worth the shame generally caused by trying. Still, dorks need something to do, and apparently that something is typing the entire alphabet as quickly as possible on the iPad.
We’re not kidding. There’s currently a dispute going on as to who actually holds the World Record, and not, as you might expect, people insisting it must be the other guy.
It’s actually kind of fascinating to watch total strangers prepare for months to attempt to do something simple at warp speed for an absolutely pointless reason. But, hey, at least they’ll be able to land awesome data entry jobs!
