Aaaaaaaaaand We Have Our First Cancellation Of The 2013 TV Season

Ironside and Betrayal made it interesting, but make no mistake: this was Lucky 7‘s race to lose all along. And sure enough, after only two episodes, the ABC lottery drama held off all the other contenders to become the first canceled show of the 2013 Fall TV season.

The network has pulled the lottery drama off the air after just two episodes, TVGuide.com has learned.

Lucky 7 debuted to 4.6 million viewers and a 1.3 in the 18-49 demographic, down six tenths from Private Practice’s performance in the slot last fall. The second episode then plunged 38 percent to 2.8 million viewers and 0.8. [TV Guide]

Anyway, ABC will replace the hole in their Tuesday night lineup with reruns of Scandal, which scored a series-record 10.5 million viewers for last night’s bonkers season premiere. The lesson here is this:
