Have you been following the Chris Christie bridge scandal, the one maddeningly being referred to as “Bridgegate” and “BridgeGahazi” by some members of the media? It’s just so delicious, isn’t it? Just so very petty, bitchy and catty. It sort of feels like it has the makings of a Shakespearean tragi-comedy. And it’ll probably only get better with the passage of time. Hooray for us!
Last night Stephen Colbert eloquently summed up the whole thing thusly: “It’s my way or I shut down your highway.”
