Joan Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai hospital in New York this morning after she stopped breathing during what sounds like some sort of routine throat surgery, for a procedure having to do with her vocal chords. According to TMZ, a 911 call was placed at 9:39 a.m. and the caller stated, “We have somebody in either cardiac or respiratory arrest.”
An update to the story posted just a few minutes ago states that Ms. Rivers is in critical condition and that at one point her heart had stopped beating. So, you know, everybody think positive thoughts and all that. Joan Rivers is still only 81-years-young, and we’re not ready to see the crazy old bird off just yet.
