Bill Murray appeared on the Today show to talk about his movie St. Vincent but the conversation quickly shifted to George Clooney’s wedding, where Murray was an honored guest. Murray and Clooney have become quite close these last few years following their work in Monuments Men, a film about artists turned soldiers in WWII. Murray even stayed at Clooney’s house while the movie was being shot. That’s how chummy they’ve become.
Anyway, Murray was tight-lipped about his wedding toast but did reveal something amusing about Clooney’s wife, Amal Alamuddin: “She’s the funniest Lebanese since Danny Thomas.”
But seriously, Murray’s recap of the wedding was touching. “People were very emotional about the fact that these two people found someone.”
