The Daily Show introduced its newest correspondent last night, the handsome and charming Trevor Noah, a stand up comedian from South Africa. Prior to joining The Daily Show, Noah was the first South African comedian to appear on both The Tonight Show and the Late Show.

The timing of Noah’s arrival could not be more appropriate, as the increase of both police brutality and poverty in America is now actually starting to draw comparisons to apartheid — so during his inaugural segment he plays a game of “spot the Africa” with Jon Stewart. Yep, I think I like this new guy.

For some background, here’s a stand-up segment of Noah’s about the first time he was introduced to tacos in Los Angeles. Poop jokes always get a thumbs up from me.
