‘Where ISN’T The Bathroom?’: 5 Of The Funniest ‘Broad City’ Cameos (So Far)

If there’s one thing we’ve learned during Broad City‘s time on the air, it’s that just about anyone may show up on screen. We’ve seen a surprising number of comedian cameos, and they’ve been consistently hilarious. There’s a new episode airing tonight, and one can’t help but wonder which big name will pay Abbi and Ilana a visit this week.

To prep, here are the five funniest Broad City cameos that we’ve seen up to this point.

5. Kumail Nanjiani

Kumail wasn’t the biggest name to show up in the Season 2 premiere (more on that in a minute), but he was still fantastic playing a hopelessly awkward man who is just trying to audition for The Amazing Race. He misunderstands Abbi’s personal ad, and assumes they wanted his broken air conditioner. The encounter does not end well:

4. Fred Armisen

In the very first episode, Armisen turned in what may be his masterpiece as a man-baby who offers Abbi and Ilana $200 to clean his apartment. Desperate to go to a Lil Wayne concert, they agree. In the end, he never pays them, saying that as a baby, he has no money. Abbi and Ilana get revenge by trashing his apartment.

3. Amy Sedaris

When Abbi and Ilana go looking for a new apartment, Sedaris shows up as Pam, a bawdy and possibly insane woman who does not offer them much help, but is absolutely hilarious. Seriously, pretty much everything Pam says is hysterical (“I was cyberbullied within an inch of my life last night! I make dolls out of human hair.”), and who could forget when Abbi asks where the bathroom is, and she simply responds “where isn’t the bathroom?”

2. Seth Rogen

Rogen was the big name guest star in the Season 2 premiere, and arguably the biggest name the show has seen so far. He plays Male Stacy (any dude name Stacy must have gotten a smirk out of that), who stays over at Abbi’s apartment and ultimately passes out from the heat, making it clear that Abbi needs an air conditioner. Like so many of the wacky characters that populate Broad City, he’s a weird, but ultimately affable guy — he made her fajitas!

1. Amy Poehler

Okay, Amy Poehler is an executive producer on Broad City, so it’s not particularly surprising that she eventually showed up in an episode, but her appearance is fantastic nonetheless. She plays Cheryl, a tightly wound chef who argues with her boyfriend, John The Waiter, who isn’t nearly as classy and charming as he seems. Amy Poehler is a big reason why the Broad City web series became a TV show, and her cameo could not possibly have been better.
