Will Ferrell And Kristen Wiig Made A Secret TV Movie For Lifetime Called ‘A Deadly Adoption’

Will Ferrell and Kristen Wiig teamed up for a secret project for Lifetime called A Deadly Adoption. While the news originally broke on April 1st, we assure you this is not an April Fools’ Day joke. According to THR, the two-hour long thriller will come just in time for Lifetime’s 25th anniversary.

Set for a likely early summer debut, Ferrell and Wiig star in the dramatic thriller as a successful couple who house and care for a pregnant woman (played by 90210 alum Jessica Lowndes) with the hopes of adopting her unborn child — then things quickly go awry. The movie is described as campy and fun and a contemporary wink at the genre that comes as Lifetime is poised to mark the 25th anniversary of its TV movie business.

Will Ferrell is an alleged fan of Lifetime TV movies and this marks his chance at making his own homage to the genre. A Deadly Adoption sounds like it may just be the perfect campy send-up to the network that brought us such classics as Whitney, Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, and An En Vogue Christmas.
