Alison Brie Gets Engaged To Dave Franco, Enters True ‘Modern Warfare’

On May 6, 2010, Community aired its classic “Modern Warfare” episode (also known as the “Paintball episode”), and it would change the Internet forever. It was that episode that not only featured one of the best sitcom homages to action movies ever, it was also the episode that introduced Alison Brie running GIFs, the very backbone of Warming Glow.

A lot has changed in five years. Community lost its showrunner Dan Harmon, then got its showrunner back, then moved from NBC to Yahoo!, before eventually moving into that painful interregnum between television show and potential movie. In the meantime, Alison Brie has also matured. She’s no longer just Annie Edison. She’s on the brink of becoming an actual movie star, with Sleeping with Other People poised to take her to the next level.

Now, it is our duty to report — with a heavy heart — that Brie is also engaged to be married. To a Franco, no less. Fortunately, it is the better, less popular Franco, Dave. The two have been dating since 2012. You may recall their work together from 2013, a Funny or Die video in which Franco tried to convince Brie to give him a blumpkin, heretofore known as one of the most disgusting sex acts in the history of disgusting sex acts.

We wish them all the best in their eventual marriage.
