Hillary Clinton Does A Pretty Great Donald Trump Impression

One of the main criticisms about Hillary Clinton as a presidential candidate is that she seems too calculated, too rehearsed. Some say that she comes off as unnatural and inauthentic, and it’s a turnoff. But when Clinton isn’t running for something and she’s having a conversation like a normal person, she’s actually kinda cool. Regardless of politics, she’s kind of a funny gal. I mean, she was totally on board with a Tumblr dedicated to her while she was Secretary of State, then as soon as she participated in it, they had to shut it down. That’s not just funny, it’s badass.

Which is why Hillary Clinton going on The Tonight Show and doing an impression of Donald Trump is a win for her. It’s not (only) because people like to see Trump mocked. It’s because she’s proving that some presidential candidates have some kind of experience backing them up. And when they do go off-prompter, it’s not a disaster like it is for some candidates. Clinton has confidence. Trump looks like he’s overcompensating for something. So he’s easy to mock.

Actually, Clinton is breaking one major rule of comedy here, which is that she’s not punching up — she’s punching down. Next thing you know, Trump is going to start calling her a bully. And that will be hilarious.
