Bill Burr’s Animated Netflix Series ‘F Is For Family’ Has A Teaser And A Premiere Date

Way back in October of 2014, Netflix announced that it had ordered a new animated series from comedian Bill Burr. Titled F Is for Family, the series was described as a kind of twisted family comedy set in the 1970s, “a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside and bring a gun to the airport.” Burr discussed the project a little bit when we interviewed him late last year, but here’s what he had to say about it when it was announced.

F is for Family is the show I’ve always wanted to do. It captures all the characters of my childhood the way I remember it to be. Fortunately, Mike Price and everyone at Wild West seem to know the same people I knew growing up. It’s going to be a lot of fun to tell these stories.”

And now, a little more than a year later, because Burr is busy and animating things is, like, hard (presumably), Netflix has released the first look at it and given it a premiere date. All six episodes will be available on December 18, and in addition to all that stuff they mentioned before, it will apparently also feature people getting kicked in the nuts, and giving the middle finger, and vomiting at the dinner table. Just in time for Christmas.
