Back when Arrow first aired, Diggle was introduced as having a dead brother, killed by HIVE. The show promptly forgot about it for two seasons and change before reviving that plotline. And the plotline isn’t the only thing back from the dead: Looks like Diggle still has his brother. Too bad he’s under the thrall of Damien Darhk!
Yes, Arrow is wrapping up sweeps the best way possible, with a Diggle-centric episode. We’re assuming they won’t dig out the weird and unhealthy relationship Diggle had with his dead brother’s widow in the first season, now that he’s happily married and caring for the Digglet, but you never know. Admittedly, after the whole “brainwashed and presumed dead” thing, that’s probably the least soapy thing that might happen this episode, so we yet hold out hope.
Meanwhile, Thea is going to fall under the control of her bloodlust and probably kill somebody, so everybody can get all huffy about it while conveniently forgetting their own body counts. Also of interest, the show’s former stunt and fight coordinator directed the episode, so it’s probably going to be light on the cry-talking and heavy on the punching.
