Watch Joel McHale Bid A Heartfelt Farewell From The Set Of ‘The Soup’

It’s the end of an era over at E! as Joel McHale and the cast and crew of The Soup signed off for the final time on Friday night. After a rousing 22 seasons of harsh criticism, the show has come to an end.

To close things out, McHale showed one final tribute video, made fun of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown, and shared a heartfelt thank you with the audience as well. As for the cast and crew, McHale was surrounded by a large group of them.

The Soup did a fine job at holding up our celebrity and reality-TV-obsessed culture to a mirror and commenting on it with a solid mix of irony, incredulity and sincerity. It will be missed, but as McHale notes in his farewell speech, it may be gone, but it won’t be forgotten.
