Sarah Silverman Celebrated Her SAG Nomination By Helping Conan With His Human Centipede Menorah

Sarah Silverman just got a big surprise when she was nominated for her dramatic role in I Smile Back at the SAG awards, so it’s no wonder she’s all smiles as she helps Conan light the fifth candle on his Human Centipede menorah. It’s a horrifying celebration of the Jewish faith and Silverman is happy to help.

To keep things traditional, the comedienne brought along some “greasy potato latkes” and hot coffee to help stimulate the feeding process for the entire chain. And just because it’s a fake human centipede, doesn’t mean the entire thing is a picnic. It still looks like a real pain in the ass, even for a funny TV bit.

As for Silverman’s nomination, she told People magazine that she “thought someone had died” when her manager called her about her first SAG nomination:

“I answered the phone and she was sobbing…

“I feel like I’m kind of slumming it being in the company of like Dame Helen Mirren and Cate Blanchett and all those hacks,” Silverman joked to reporters at the event about her fellow Female Actor in a Leading Role nominees. “But yeah, I’m totally in shock.”

Congratulations for the nomination and, more importantly, congratulations on keeping a straight face during a segment where you feed greasy food to a man who has his ass attached to a chain of men, all with giant electric candles on their backs.
