A Winnipeg Advice Columnist Got Trolled With A Fake Letter Describing The Plot Of ‘Full House’

In today’s edition of the Winnipeg Free Press, a Manitoba resident going by “Desperate Dad” wrote in to advice columnist Miss Lonelyhearts with this heartbreaking story.

DEAR MISS LONELYHEARTS: My wife was recently killed in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. She left behind our three little girls, the youngest being only six months old. My job keeps me very busy and sometimes has me working unpredictable times of the day and week. I know I’m not going to be able to raise my children all by myself. I have recruited my brother-in-law and best friend to live with me and help raise the children. Do you think having three males in the house raising children is the right thing to do? — Desperate Dad, Manitoba

A sad situation, to be sure. Also, the entire backstory of Danny Tanner from Full House, which Miss Lonelyhearts did not pick up on when she replied with a serious answer that included the tip, “I don’t see the problem with the situation as you’ve organized it, as long as your brother-in-law and best friend are kind and patient people, and you add in some female influences.” Don’t you worry, Miss Lonelyhearts. Aunt Becky shows up by the end of Season 2.

You wanna know what the best part is, though? This is actually at least the second time someone has gotten Miss Lonelyhearts with the old “plot of a TV show masquerading as a plea for help” ruse. She also got taken — almost exactly a year ago — with the story of Skylar and Ted from Breaking Bad. Poor Miss Lonelyhearts. This is officially a thing now.

Thanks to @geometro and Jeremy for the tip
