Despite being 60 years old, a Scientologist, and completely deluded, Kirstie Alley is still adored by America. Therefore, ABC is in the final stages of ordering a multi-camera sitcom pilot called “The Manzanis,” with Alley attached to star.
The sitcom is described as a new take on Roseanne, and stars Alley as a very opinionated wife/mother who, along with her family, the Manzanis, moves to repressed country-club town. [Deadline]
I’ve got no problem with this. I don’t have a problem with Alley being on TV, I have a problem with her staying on “Dancing with the Stars” while Kendra Wilkinson gets eliminated. Alley’s a good actress, so I’m cool with her working. I mean, everyone’s gotta eat, right? Especially Kirstie Alley. They’re gonna have to pay her in Japanese cities.
