Documentarian Alex Gibney appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to promote his Scientology exposé Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief, and he gave us just a tiny, but still insane look at what we can expect from this highly anticipated movie. We all know Scientology is weird, powerful, weirdly powerful, and incredibly defensive about its image and reputation, but it’s been able to bully just about anything that tries to get in its way. One example is the Internal Revenue Service. According to Gibney, Scientology actually got the IRS in a headlock and got it to tap out. It probably looked something like this:
