Alfonso Ribeiro Is Your New Host Of ‘America’s Funniest Home Videos’

Alfonso Ribeiro, the 2014 winner of Dancing with the Stars, is bringing the Carlton Dance to America’s Funniest Home Videos. It was announced late Tuesday that the former Fresh Prince of Bel-Air star would be taking the reigns from Tom Bergeron, whose final show aired on Sunday night.

AFV executive producer Vin Di Bona spoke with Variety about the decision to cast Ribeiro in what was a hotly contended hosting gig.

“There’s got to be a sincerity and a connection with the audience. You’ve got to be someone who cares about kids. That connection you make with the audience is of the utmost importance to me. That’s something you just don’t get by reading copy. In our auditions, it just became very, very apparent that Alfonso is a genuinely nice man.”

On that note, we here at Uproxx would like to welcome Ribeiro to his new job with this 25-minute long “Ultimate Nutshot Supercut” because there’s gonna be a lot of nutshots.
