The Best Moments From This Week’s Mike-Centric ‘Better Call Saul’

Okay, I realize that Better Call Saul has probably maxed out Breaking Bad spin-offs, but tell me you wouldn’t watch a season of younger Mike on the Philly PD taking down bad guys. I know, I know, one prequel at a time.

The episode began with a finally sober Mike meeting with his daughter-in-law and granddaughter. Mike had apparently been at the bottom of many bottles after dealing with his cop son Matty’s tragic passing.

He’s also dealing with some sort of wound.

Fast forward to the cops questioning Mike, who calls in Saul to help confirm his suspicions.

We also found out why the cops were called in.

And now, it’s flashback time. Six months ago in Philly, Mike had a sneaking suspicion on who really killed his son.

And so he hatched a scheme.

After last call, Mike figured those friendly cops would give him a ride.

He also figured those cops weren’t stupid…

… but neither is Mike.

And all of that lead to this…

Mike also confessed to Stacey that his own advice to Matty to be a dirty cop is what did him in.
