Britney Spears Will Tackle ‘Carpool Karaoke’ To Promote Her New Album

When one thinks of James Corden, the first thing that comes to mind usually isn’t his work on stage, on film or television, or even that he hosts The Late Late Show, which is odd considering what he is known for now is technically a part of The Late Late Show. That one thing that people think of is Carpool Karaoke, a segment that Corden hosts for The Late Late Show that involves him in a car with a celebrity, where they will then sing songs together to hilarious results. It’s a segment that has gone as far as to include the First Lady herself, Michelle Obama, on top of a laundry list of celebrities from Gwen Stefani to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Of course, not everyone finds it delightful, but that’s to be expected.

Refocusing to one of America’s most notorious and storied pop stars seems like a logical move for Carpool Karaoke, which is exactly what they’ll be doing, says The Hollywood Reporter, as Britney Spears will be making an appearance on August 25th. Spears, who is preparing the world for the release of her next album on August 26th, Glory, will be hopping into Corden’s car and belting out songs alongside the Tony Award-winner.

What better way to promote the upcoming album than to appear in a car, sans the soft lighting of a music video and to have some fun? We all like fun.
