Chris Hemsworth, whose effervescent charm and unholy good looks can’t be dulled by even a sensible quilted jacket, is hosting Saturday Night Live this weekend. For the second time! (Don’t ask questions. Just accept this gift.) (Fine, it’s because he’s in In The Heart of the Sea.) As such, NBC has bestowed upon us new promos of Hemsworth that involve light flirting with Leslie Jones in front of the skating rink at Rockefeller Center.
The promos involve several dramatic — if not full-on disturbing — reveals. The first? Leslie Jones does not, in fact, work at the skating rink. And Hemsworth isn’t her favorite Avenger. Here’s her official list: Iron Man, Captain America, The Hulk, The Redhead Girl, The Falcon, The New Dude — Vision — With The Purple Face, The Witch Girl, Ant-Man, Bow And Arrow Guy, then Thor. But by far the most unsettling information imparted in these promos is Hemsworth’s description of Australian Santa: “He’s a crocodile who eats presents and he hates kids. His name is Crocodile Monster and he hates kids. It’s very important to him. He hates kids.”
Hemsworth will host December 12 with musical guest Chance The Rapper — and on December 19, Sisters stars Tina Fey and Amy Poehler will co-host.
