Watch: Crucifictorious Reunites In Splendid ‘Friday Night Lights’ And ‘Parenthood’ Crossover

Crucifictorious, the Landry (Lance) Clark fronted Christian death metal band from Friday Night Lights, and one of the best all-time fake TV bands reunited this week in a part one of a very cute web series crossover between two Jason Katims’ shows, Parenthood and Friday Night Lights.

The series is meant to tide fans of Parenthood over while the show is on hiatus for the Olympics. In it, Amber is being tasked with both looking after her cousin, Max, and keeping an eye on the Luncheonette, the recording studio her two uncles own. Things get complicated when Landry and the rest of Crucifictorious arrive for their recording session.

After seeing Jesse Plemons as Todd for the last two years on Breaking Bad, I’d almost forgotten that he could still play a charmingly overconfident doofus. There’s not an ounce of psychopathy here. He’s only in part one for a bit (though, surely he’ll return for a longer appearance in part 2), but it’s just like old times.

The reunion is the first for Crucifictorious since Saracen’s wedding.
