The second season of Daredevil is available for viewing on Netflix if you have yet to catch up on it and Luke Cage before The Defenders, and it packs just as much of a punch as season one. The people behind it knew it had a lot to live up to, and obviously worked hard to match the critical acclaim they received after their debut. One area they definitely succeeded in: the fights.
Season one wowed fans with an intense single shot fight scene featuring Daredevil fighting an army of thugs through the hallway of a building. With season two, they ratcheted up the action even more by moving Daredevil from a hallway to a stairwell, all while attacking his enemies with a chain whip.
In order to create the heart pounding one take scene, cameramen ended up passing handheld cameras between each other while stuntmen often doubled up and played two bad guys to limit the number of people cramming up the stairwell. There were two Daredevils as well, which just goes to show you how much movie magic went into this particular shot.
