Daryl May Meet The Saviors On The Next Episode Of ‘The Walking Dead’

FUTURE SPOILERS AND COMIC SPOILERS

If you’ve seen the sneak-peak that AMC has provided for American audiences of this week’s episode of The Walking Dead, we wouldn’t fault you for feeling a little concerned about another slower episode of the series. However, the sneak-peak of the episode offered to viewers in Germany promises something else completely: An intense, action-packed shoot-’em out episode involving a horde of zombies and a new contingent of bad guys.

If you want to experience this 90-second scene for the first time during the episode, I implore you to wait until it airs. Otherwise, this should get your blood pumping for Sunday night’s episode:

Who are those guys shooting at Abraham, Daryl, and Sasha? It’s probably not more Wolves, because they don’t use guns. Could it be an early introduction to the Saviors, the group led by the recently cast Negan? Or a completely different set of people who feel threatened by the zombie horde that Daryl and Co. are leading into their territory?

If you’re thinking that it’s too early to introduce the Saviors because their leader Negan doesn’t show up until the sixth-season finale, recall that 1) in the comics, the Saviors are introduced into the series before Negan, and 2) the first half of the season takes place over the course of one day. Daryl and Co. may not run into the rest of the Saviors until the next day, but in The Walking Dead time, that may not happen for another five or six episodes.

Indeed, we may not find out what happens to Glenn this weekend, but it should be a great episode, leading into the series premiere of Into the Badlands.
