There’s nothing quite like David Letterman doing classic Letterman, and this segment here reminds us of how oddly and pleasantly surreal he can be. After making fun of the Ritz Paris in Paris a couple of weeks ago, Letterman received a monogrammed and embroidered robe from them – sort of as a “Sorry for your stay / Hehe f*ck you.”
And Letterman – being Letterman – relishes the chance to use this new gift for all it’s worth. He really is a national treasure, isn’t he?
