If you haven’t heard, Denis Leary is making his TV comeback in FX’s Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll this summer, in which he plays an aging, self-destructive rock star; a role which requires him to dress like… an aging, self-destructive rock star. However, as he told Jimmy Fallon last night on The Tonight Show, that’s not always a good thing, because a 57-year-old man wearing a bunch of shiny clothes, bracelets and rings with teased-up hair can apparently be mistaken for 54-year-old Jane Lynch.
Leary says he felt pretty cool dressed in character on his first day of shooting the FX series, until an excited fan rushed up to snap a photo with their favorite Glee star. You know, I hate to say so, and I probably would have never come up with the conclusion on my own, but now that he mentions it? I can kind of see it. Sorry, Denis.
