Donald Trump Was Forced To Nix A Few Risque ‘SNL’ Sketches Due To Poll Number Concerns

In case you missed it, Republican presidential candidate and human hot air balloon Donald Trump will be hosting this week’s episode of Saturday Night Live. And since Trump controls everything, he’s even in charge of what sketches on the 41-year old variety show make it to air and which ones don’t. Trump appeared on Friday’s edition of The O’Reilly Factor on Fox News and when host/kindred spirit Bill O’Reilly asked him if he was able to choose which sketches he’d appear in, Trump responded:

“There were a couple that were too risqué. I’m leading in Iowa, I want to stay leading in Iowa.”

Trump’s appearance on SNL has sparked outrage from Latino leaders thanks to his remarks regarding Mexican immigrants made earlier in his campaign. The Spanish broadcaster Univision, owned by NBC/Universal (the same company/network that broadcasts SNL), subsequently terminated its contract with Trump to air the Miss USA pageant, leading to a $500 million lawsuit filed by Trump.

Also, the Deport Racism PAC has offered a $5,000 cash prize to anyone in the SNL audience heard saying either “deport racism” or “Trump is a racist” during the live show.
