Here’s The List Of Warriors We’d Want On Our Post-Apocalypse Dream Team

Well, the worst has happened. The end of the world as we know it. Cataclysm, zombies, plague… terrible stuff is going down. However, you are not going to bury your head in the sand. You’re a fighter and you are not ready to give up just yet. So, in order to survive, it’s time to assemble a crack team that will give you the best chance. Let’s take a look through film and television and decide who would give you the best shot at survival.

Commander Tom Chandler (The Last Ship)

You need a smart leader to pull together a team of great warriors and survivors; someone who is willing to risk their lives for the good of the group and someone who is able to strategically think a few steps ahead. It also doesn’t hurt if this person can command a Naval destroyer, should your group stumble upon one. And that’s why The Last Ship‘s Tom Chandler is a key piece in this dream team. He’s also got that “order barking” cadence down, a Gibraltar jaw that people respond to and plague germs that seem to bounce off him.

Daryl Dixon (The Walking Dead)

Now, there are many good options from Rick Grimes’ crew, but you really can’t go wrong with America’s favorite redneck, Daryl Dixon. Sure, he’s a little rough around the edges, but his loyalty to his crew runs deep. He’s not afraid to make the tough choices, and he will always have your back. If anyone crosses you, they will end up with an arrow in the chest.

Katniss Everdeen (The Hunger Games)

Katniss is a wild card. She can be a bit of a loner, and will straight up murder anyone who threatens the life of her little sister. However, she usually manages to inspire everyone around her, so she’ll be good for morale. If you need a leader, Katniss is your girl.

Samwise Gamgee (The Lord of the Rings)

Your dream team needs more than just warriors, and that’s where Sam comes in. He’s the mother hen of the group, making sure that everyone gets fed and watered. Some people may turn up their noses at the little hobbit, but after a day of scouting, they’ll be grateful for the hot meal that he somehow managed to prepare.

Ellen Ripley (Alien)

Ellen Ripley is one of the most powerful women in film history, so obviously you want her on your team. The matriarch and the warrior, Ripley will be the moral compass of the group, but she will also kick some serious butt.

Max Rockatansky (Mad Max: Fury Road)

Someone’s got to drive the getaway vehicle, and you don’t get better than Max. Whether your driving across an empty wasteland or getting chased by some sort of post-apocalyptic horde, the Road Warrior will get you where you need to go, come hell or high water.

Black Widow (The Avengers)

If there is any kind of society left, you will need a diplomat in your group. Black Widow is a master manipulator, so she is definitely a valuable asset to your team. You may not always be certain of her intentions or loyalties, but when she’s on your team, your team will likely come out ahead.

Simon and River Tam (Firefly)

Every group needs a medic to patch them up after a skirmish, and Simon Tam is one of the best around. Simon and River are a package deal, but everyone needs a deadly super genius on their side, right?

Joffrey Baratheon (Game of Thrones)

Bait.
