Check Out This Drone Footage Of A ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 6 Set

People are getting pretty pushy in their attempts to glean plot points from the new season of Game of Thrones. Last year saw the start of a trend where photographers with gargantuan telephoto lenses camped up to a mile away from sets trying to capture what the show’s stars were up to. And now for season six we have this drone footage of an active set from Ballintoy, Northern Ireland.

The video captures a couple of different scenes being filmed, all of which seem to involve the Greyjoys. After a season with nary a kraken in sight (Reek doesn’t count, obvs), season six is expected to delve deep into the politics of the Iron Islands. Those of you who have read A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons know a little on what to expect. Those who haven’t, rest assured that it would take a Sand Snakes sized screw up to shipwreck this particular plot.

Let’s take a look at what the drone actually captured being filmed:

A group of Greyjoy men on shore…

Greyjoy longboats rowing to port…

And something going on in the water, perhaps some of the more fervant Greyjoys semi-drowning someone as part of the Drowned God’s twisted baptism ritual. Or, you know, just drowning someone. For the fun of it. Because Greyjoys.

We’ve got a while still to wait until we’ll know for sure. Game of Thrones season six doesn’t come out until March 2016.
