Elderly Man With Dementia Approaches Local Reporter Who Was Reporting On His Disappearance

I typically leave the local news beat to Danger, but this story happens to have taken place in my neck of the woods, outside of Portland, Maine. The story concerns a missing 73-year-old man with dementia, who had been missing for 14 hours. A local news crew went out to his house and, as they began taping footage for their report on the missing man, he slowly ambled by. Naturally, the local news reporter didn’t realize, at first, who he was. He greets him as he walks by, and it takes a few seconds for that lightbulb in his head to register. You can just see his thought process. “Hmmm. I wonder … ”

The good news is that the man was found. Unfortunately, the poor old guy has no idea where he was the previous 14 hours. Check out the video footage below.
