“Hart to Hart” isn’t a Forgotten Classic in the usual Uproxx definition: that is, it wasn’t a straight-to-DVD bomb or a quickly canceled puddle of post-Indian food diarrhea. It aired for five seasons and was produced by Aaron Spelling. But I was reminded today of how amazing the opening credits were (see video below), and I feel like sharing them. Featured in the credits:

  • Wearing a tuxedo on a private jet
  • Convertibles
  • Speedboats
  • Explosions
  • Fur coats
  • Skiing
  • Vaudeville
  • Parachuting
  • Making out on the beach next to a dead body
  • Trap doors
  • ATVs
  • Trumpeting
  • Helpful dogs and parrots
  • Champagne

Now THAT’S a quality opening sequence. It’s basically a series of snapshots of what I wish my life was. Well, almost. I’d prefer more booze and automatic weapons and women in bikinis. And cats. Drunk cats in bikinis with automatic weapons.
