TMZ‘s cameras cornered Game of Thrones showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss at an event in New York City Wednesday night, and they asked them if there was a chance anyone famous would ever be making a cameo on the show. They were gracious enough to play along and said that in addition to some of their Ultimate Fighter friends, they are hoping to get Charlie Day and Rob McElhenney on eventually.

As you may be aware, Benioff and Weiss wrote the 2013 episode of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, “Flowers for Charlie,” where Charlie participates in a scientific study which supposedly makes him a genius, although it’s later found out that he was in the control group.

Fingers crossed that this comes to fruition. As far as who the two would play on Game of Thrones, I think it’s pretty obvious that Day would be some kind of filthy, rags-wearing servant while McElhenney would be an overly confident warrior who gets immediately killed off.
