Let’s Talk This Week’s Geeky TV: ‘Gotham’ Goes After Trump

The Penguin is officially mayor of Gotham, as of the last episode. He even won legitimately! So now he has to deliver on all those campaign promises which surely won’t go horribly wrong on tonight’s episode of Gotham.

In addition to the hilariously unsubtle Trump satire, we’ve also got the Mad Hatter running around with a dangerous bioweapon, the commissioner of police accidentally exposed to that bioweapon, and Gordon being a complete jerk to Lee. Oh, and Bruce Wayne’s evil twin is now part of the secret conspiracy that killed Bruce’s parents. That’ll pay off tonight at 8pm on Fox, and we’ll be liveblogging.

Meanwhile, in the vastly cheerier National City:

Last week we met Superman, who shared the spotlight with his cousin without overwhelming the show. This week their crusade to adapt all the ‘80s Superman comics continues with Project Cadmus and Metallo, the Kryptonite-powered cyborg who can actually deal some damage.

We also get more of a look at the feud between Superman and Hank Henshaw, which was set up intriguingly last week and is all about the Kryptonite. And, of course, let’s not forget the Kryptonian who’s currently in a coma, as we have yet to learn his deal. That’s up against Gotham tonight at 8pm on the CW. Join us, won’t you?
