Let’s Liveblog Monday’s Geeky TV: ‘Gotham’ Wraps Up Its Wild Second Season

Last week on Gotham, Fish Mooney came back from the dead, and immediately made fun of her plotline last season. Meanwhile, Gordon, Bruce, and Lucius Fox executed perhaps the most poorly planned sting operation in the history of television, and were promptly caught for their troubles. Hugo Strange, villainous mastermind, immediately decided to lock Bruce and Lucius into a death trap and let the Riddler interrogate them, arguably finally, gloriously, going full ’60s Batman on us. They even ended it on a cliffhanger with Bruce and Lucius in the trap; all we needed was a reminder to tune in same Gotham time, same Gotham channel.

Oh, also we met Clayface, who can be made to look like anybody. For some reason, this can only happen when you lock that person’s head in a giant steel device and force them to consume a large glass of milk. Perhaps the transformation process requires protein? So, for the Gotham season finale, you’ve got evil twins, death traps, mentally ill people with flamethrowers, a mad scientist, a vicious gangster, and one exceptionally P.O.ed former dead woman, all running around an insane asylum. Hopefully Butch hung onto that rocket launcher, but we’ll find out just how this ends in the season finale, which starts at 8 p.m. EST on Fox. Join us, won’t you?
