Great Job, America: The Kris Jenner Show Has Probably Been Canceled

If you were far luckier than I and unaware that Kris Jenner – AKA the matriarch of the Klan Kardashian – had her very own daytime talk show on Fox, don’t worry, because you were far from alone. I say “were” because that’s past tense and, according to Radar Online, The Kris Jenner Show is now a thing of the past, thanks to some execs at Fox who decided that there’s simply too much Kardashian already happening on TV.

Jenner’s original deal was for a six-week dry run that would determine whether or not she was popular enough among daytime TV viewers to warrant a full season, and the awful ratings settled that. So call it what you want – canceled, dropped, terminated, shelved – but it seems that Jenner’s will end with the sixth week.

The mother-of-six turned manager was recently told, “There is no chance the talk show is going to get a green light from FOX. The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it.” (Via Radar)

As expected, Jenner trotted out Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian for her fans to hoot and holler over, while she also brought out the heavy artillery with Kanye West revealing the first picture of his and Kim Kardashian’s baby, North West. But not even West digging up that tired, old Taylor Swift story to defend himself as a “crazy drunk black guy in a leather shirt” was enough to keep the show afloat.

The “source” continued:

“It’s a very crowded market and Kris didn’t do anything to set herself apart from the field. Believe it or not, most of America doesn’t want to hear about the Kardashian’s for an hour everyday,” the source revealed.

“It will be announced in a low key fashion, probably on a Friday afternoon so it won’t generate a ton of negative press for Kris,” the insider added.

Negative press? For the woman who traded her granddaughter’s privacy for a cheap, last ditch attempt to get ratings? While her daughter’s husband is being publically accused of being a crackhead? No, we could never let her have any negative press.

Of course, this only matters if you believe Radar’s “source” and not Jenner herself, who has been Tweeting that this is all false and simply shows how much people love talking about her show.

Other outlets are reporting that no decision is expected until later this fall, but I suppose that’s only to buy Jenner the time to poison her competition and host a party for 6 million people so she can put Nielsen boxes in their gift bags.
