Unlike the time they mistook the NCC-1701-D for the NCC-1701-E, it won’t be easy to forgive the Guardian for identifying Sir Patrick Stewart as a gay man, as they did yesterday in an article about Ellen Page’s coming out speech. The full original text read, “Some gay people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy…” before being amended to, “Some people, such as Sir Patrick Stewart, think Page’s coming out speech is newsworthy…” How could they be confused?
