The Actor Who Played Young Hodor Wrote A Song, Because Your ‘Game Of Thrones’ Tears Will Never Dry

While the latest episode of Game of Thrones, “Blood Of My Blood,” continued to move the pieces across the board of the constant power struggles in Westeros, many fans were still left blubbering over the events of the previous episode. As you probably know, “Hold The Door” showed fans Hodor’s tragic backstory and death, leaving viewers to wonder if they will ever be happy again. Not even Bone Thugs-N-Harmony can make it better.

Well, if by some miracle you’d managed to dry your tears by now, prepare for the waterworks again. Following in the musical footsteps of Kristian Nairn, Sam Coleman, who played the young Wylis pre-Hodor, wrote, performed, and uploaded a sad ballad called “Hold The Door” about the devastating and tragic life of the stable boy turned savior.

Want to cry forever? Listen to this refrain: “But there was one condition/ I only had one mission/ A simple one, I knew I had to face/ When I reached the time and place/ Hold the door!”

Game of Thrones has pulled some seriously dirty tricks in the tragedy department over the years, but the death of innocent Hodor had a particular sting. Despite the inevitable jokes, I don’t think fans will get over it any time soon.
