Amy Schumer Was Beside Herself After Winning The Emmy For Best Variety Series

Inside Amy Schumer just won the Emmy for Best Variety Series and its eponymous star and creator was beyond words. Amy Schumer started off saying that no one on her staff even had the Final Draft screenwriting program when they started making the show. And it wasn’t even going to be a sketch show, it was going to be a “sex talk show” until head writer — and brand new mom — Jessi Klein talked her out of it. This Emmy-winning show almost didn’t even happen. Wouldn’t that have sucked? That would have been terrible.

And Schumer would have liked to get into a story about something deep and personal, but she ran out of time and her makeup experience was actually on fleek — and it was just about time for her scheduled blackout, so here is her speech and it’s great. And you will like it.
