Tonight’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon was supposed to be new, but Fallon was involved in a mishap at his home and needed to be taken to the hospital for surgery on his hand. The Twitter account for the show says he’s OK, but that today’s taping was cancelled:
Hey guys – unfortunately tonight's taping has been cancelled due to Jimmy injuring his hand. He's totally fine but we'll be airing a repeat.

No specific details were provided about the nature of the injury, but we know it didn’t happen last night while Fallon was at a post-taping dinner at Scalinatella. The good news is that now he and future late-night competitor/former late-night best friend Stephen Colbert will have some major war stories to tell about hand-related injuries!
Obviously, there’d be no joking around unless we knew Fallon was OK, and he “totally” is, so we wish him a speedy recovery.
