Jimmy Fallon Interviewed Kristen Wiig In Character As JoJo From ‘The Bachelorette’

JoJo Fletcher from the popular rose distribution TV program The Bachelorette popped by The Tonight Show Wednesday night. Well, not the JoJo. It was Kristen Wiig as JoJo and you could certainly do worse for an understudy.

The Ghostbusters star portrayed JoJo in a style we’ve come to expect from Wiig’s appearances on NBC’s chat show staple. It’s pretty clear that Wiig isn’t a Bachelorette obsessive and that’s where the magic lives. The SNL alum relies on a mixture of stock Bachelorette knowledge and a cheerful willingness to bullsh*t her way through the interview and the results are delightful. After all, how else are we going to learn from (faux) JoJo what goes on in the fantasy suite?

In addition to Wiig crafting glorious fake facts about the cast and the show, her version of JoJo was also nudged by host Jimmy Fallon to sing her Ghostbusters soundtrack cut “Ghost, Will You Accept This Rose?” for the audience. It’s a shame it came too late to make our 2016 Song of the Summer tournament, but what can you do?
