Jimmy Kimmel Live has become known for the sort of man-on-the-street approach to comedy that is a gold mine for viral hits. Kimmel’s latest game is a bit of a twist on the genre that requires a bit more audience participation than the usual “see what ridiculous things people say on the spot” mainstays.
Thursday night’s episode marked the first round of “Hipster or Hasidic,” in which audience members had to identify beards belonging to various New Yorkers out of context. It’s surprisingly difficult, especially with the cigarette red herring. I mean, he’s clearly not smoking American Spirits, which should have been a dead giveaway.
I think this guy needs to become a regular fixture, though. Something tells me he’s seen some pretty weird stuff.
