Joan Rivers Storms Off Her CNN Interview After Being Questioned On Her Offensive Humor

Joan Rivers took some time away from calling Michelle Obama a tranny to actually do something surprising: walk off an interview. Rivers was doing a taped interview with CNN’s Fredricka Whitfield to promote her new book when she took offense to some questions being lobbed her way,  prompting her to walk off the interview. From The Hollywood Reporter:

“This whole interview is becoming a defensive interview,” Rivers said, also protesting that Whitfield’s line of questioning was mainly “negative.”

“You are not the one to interview a person who does humor, sorry,” she added, before walking off the CNN set.

I don’t know why Joan Rivers is always being singled out for these sort of questions. Plenty of comedians are offensive in their humor and get away with it all the time. Then again, this whole interview seems to be a whole lot of miscommunication from start to finish. Par for the course at CNN.
