Joan Rivers On Jennifer Lawrence: She's More Touched Up Than A 'Choir Boy At The Vatican'

Joan Rivers is fighting the loneliest of battles: she’s going after our dear, sweet Jennifer Lawrence.

Body-shaming shots were first fired back in November, when Lawrence called out the Rivers-hosted Fashion Police for putting “values in all the things that are wrong and [show] that it’s OK to just point at people and call them ugly and call them fat and they call it fun.” Rivers’ response: “It’s funny how Jennifer Lawrence loved @E_FashionPolice during Awards Season when we were complimenting her every single week…But now that she has a movie to promote, suddenly we’re picking on all those poor, helpless actors,” followed by, “WAIT! It just dawned on me why Jennifer Lawrence fell on her way up to the stage to get her Oscar. She tripped over her own arrogance.”

For reasons that even the New York Post can’t remember, their Page Six caught up with Rivers to ask her if she had any New Year’s resolutions. Like us, they involve J-Law; unlike us, they don’t involve marrying J-Law. “My New Year’s resolution,” she said, “is [ensuring Lawrence] grows up and realizes how lucky she is and calms down.”

Rivers told us, “I love that she’s telling everyone how wrong it is to worry about retouching and body image, and meanwhile, she has been touched up more than a choir boy at the Vatican. Look at her posters. She doesn’t have a nose, she has two holes. She just has to learn, don’t talk if you’re doing it.” (Via)

Rivers later added, “And have you heard about this Breaking Bad? More Like Breaking Glad I Never Watched It.” She’s got a million of them, each more perplexing than the last.
