Jon Hamm And Jimmy Fallon Reflect On Their ‘Forgotten’ Turtle Soap Opera

Feel guilty for dragging your feet on watching Mad Men? Don’t beat yourself up. There’s a Jon Hamm led drama out there that’s far superior and dare we say MORE stylish? Did we mention sassy turtle action is involved?

Hamm popped by the Tonight Show last night (as celebrities are wont to do) and chatted with Jimmy Fallon about their “forgotten” soap opera In the Dusk of Night. As clips from the series demonstrate, Fallon and Hamm command the screen but a few distracting co-stars (including a badass Ludacris loving reptile) steal the spotlight. The charisma on display is almost too much.

“I might be stating the obvious, but it’s pretty much the reason I got Mad Men,” explains the Emmy-decorated actor.

As is the case with a lot of Tonight Show unapologetic silliness, your mileage may vary. For what it’s worth, we think it’s cheery charming fun worthy of a spot on the imaginary network of shows that also airs Palisades Park Pet Patrol and Suspended Suspense. We have the endearingly goofy segment nestled above for your viewing pleasure. We don’t have the contact info for the turtle’s agent, so please contact NBC if you want to lock that star up as your next prestige drama lead.
