As fun as it is to sit at home and watch awards show red carpet coverage and see the beautiful actresses float by impeccably in their gorgeous designer dresses with perfectly done up hair and makeup, you have to wonder how comfortable they are. And not just because — if you’re anything like me — your awards show viewing ritual involves a large pizza and bottle of wine. Few actresses are willing to get real about the process of getting (and staying) into their dresses, with notable exceptions like Amy Schumer who told ABC on the 2016 Emmy Awards red carpet last night that she was wearing “eight corsets and nine pairs of Spanx” underneath her gown.
Now that the glitz and glamour of the Emmy’s have worn down, another actress has come clean about her own pre-Emmy’s beauty regime. Kristen Bell, who previously made our Emmy’s best dressed list wearing a stunning Zuhair Murad Couture gown, posted a photo on Instagram Monday revealing her DIY “non surgical boob lift” that helped not only get her into her dress — but doing so without risk of subsequent wardrobe malfunctions. (Spoiler alert: it involves Leukofix medical tape.)
The only thoughts I have about this are: number one, OW; number two, how much that hurt to take off (DOUBLE OW); and number three, I wonder if I should try that too? The price us ladies pay for fashion.
